Film
Thomas' short film THE TALENT is currently in post-production.
Previous to this, he directed the video for Grumpy Patrick's debut single, If You're In The Neighbourhood. In 2022, he wrote & directed 6 micro-shorts for Identity Drama School's Filmcase programme, supported by Netflix. From 2020-2021, Thomas worked as Assistant to the Director on PERSUASION (MRC / Netflix), a feature film adaptation of the Jane Austen novel.
Theatre
Previous to his work in film, Thomas worked for 8 years as a theatre director.
Directing credits include Callisto: a queer epic (Arcola, Pleasance), Romeo and Juliet (Southwark Playhouse, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre), Mrs Dalloway (Arcola), Rehearsing for Planet B (North Wall Arts Centre) and The Pillowman (Oxford Playhouse).
For the Donmar Warehouse, Thomas devised & directed ISOLATE ENSEMBLE, which premiered as part of their first ever digital programme.
He was Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse 2019-2020 and trained on the National Theatre Studio Director's Course in 2020. He assisted some of the UK's leading theatre directors, including Lyndsey Turner, Michael Longhurst, Ellen McDougall and Roy Alexander Weise.
